One of the many things on our list of projects for this summer was replacing the mailbox. Brian decided to take care of that last weekend. Seeing Daddy go outside, Xander wanted to go to. One minute, he was putting his sandles on - the next he had disappeared. Just when I was about to go looking for him, back he came... with Bob the Builder tools and hat, ready to go "help" Daddy with the mailbox.
For the initial steps, sawing the wood post to get it the right length, Xander just supervised. "Back and forth Daddy... Saw a little deeper." Once that was done, he wanted to do it himself. The whole thing was very cute, at least from where I stood, so we had to snap a few pictures.
